Hôtel Mercure Brive - a small review (5 Photos)

Hôtel Mercure Brive

Generaly a good local hotel.

Check In

There was no que, infact we were only one of two couples staying, and as the other ones had already checkied in the recepinist greeted us by name on arrival.

Two welcome drinks - from the bar - served later by the same receptionist - who was the only person working in the hotel that night

Room

We were upgraded to a privalage room.

It was smaller that we were expecting, fine for one person, but if working at the desk the other person could not get past or move much in the room.

Bed nice and confatable.. Mini bar had a few soft drinks in it. Had a kettle and some paper cups. Tea and coffee sachets.

Robes had a polite notice saying they were for sale if we acidently packed them.IMG_8141.JPGIMG_8142.JPGIMG_8144.JPG

Room and bathroom were a bit dated, and could have done with a deep clean at some stage. Looks like the hotel had been refurbished recently ( well in the last two years ) Air con did not work.

Service

Only one member of staff found in the evening, but in the morning two. A very attentive waiter, who doubled up as a chef and a second recepionist.

Dining

Resturant was closed - not un expected

Breakfast was served from 6am. Some of the items were a little "dry" by the time we came down at 9.

Managed to get some hot food cooked to order, that was very nice.

Location

Just off the main autoroute.

No traffic noise. Large carpark with plenty of Tesla charging points.

The F1 is next door.

Overall

A good local hotel. No complaints. Shame it did not have more guests at the time, as there was absolutly no vibe.

Pool

Closed

Thank you for this review hotel_user!

It sounds like the hotel only has 2 rooms

There was no que, infact we were only one of two couples staying, and as the other ones had already checkied in the recepinist greeted us by name on arrival.

It seemed that way.
I have attached a full photo of the hotel ( open window was a guest room I think )

The hotel often appears on the France 40% off sale. Its a good base for the area as close to main road. Visited the city of Rocamadour, and the caves at Lascaux without too much effort.
