Novotel Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport

Does anyone know of any promotions or deals at this hotel for early October?

I am flying out of BKK early in the morning and the ability to walk straight into the airport is appealing.

Not sure if this is relevant but I am flying to NRT in F on Thai.

Thanks

We stayed at this property last year and got a great deal during the Asia Pacific sale...about 70% off the normal rate. That seems to be the only time you can get a deal at this hotel.
I have to say we really enjoyed our stay, nice room, great staff and good facilities. So even if you don't manage to get a deal it's still money well spent for the location alone.

I'll be staying there October 4 - any speculation on an Asia Pacific sale this year per chance?

I don't know about the promo, but I can this hotel is super nice for a Novotel. The best in the world as far as I know. I was given an upgrade to Club which was nice. The pool is neat too.

Good to know - thanks!

I'll be there October 4 but will wait a bit longer to book in case a sale or promotion comes along....

Very nice property indeed. Especially the in-room massage service, which makes you feel in heaven after an 10+ hour flight

I second everything that's been already written about Novotel Bangkok airport - the BEST Novotel I've ever stayed in.
You'd love it.

I'm a fan as well but the "high speed" internet at this hotel was terribly slow and the signup process was a convoluted transaction via the business centre... very strange.

What's the Club breakfast like? I booked this property for my mid-February departure overnight with the sale pricing, but just took a regular room since I'm on the UA flight at 7:30a and had no need for the Club or breakfast. However, am considering staying my first arrival night too since the flight gets in at 11:30p, and thus would do breakfast before heading into the city, giving the new train a try. Is paying for Club a better deal than breakfast in the restaurant? Are there hot items or just a continental spread in the Club?

I wasn't even aware they had a Club to be honest....so I wouldn't know about the breakfast.

However the breakfast options in the dining room are extensive. Catering for both western and eastern tastes.

Yes there is a club, and it was nice at happy hour, but as my flight was before 6am I have no idea about breakfast.

I have stayed at this hotel for a one night stopover. At the time I was an Accor Advantage Plus member (now expired) so I was upgraded to a club level Junior Suite.

For a tight turn stoppover the hotel is very convenient. Not luxurious by any means, but it was acceptable, and the food is quite good (as is often the case in Thailand).

I will only stay again if I have a very tight turn with a late nigt arrival the night before. If I have more time the day before, my choice would be to stay in the city and then take short drive in the morning to the airport by hotel car, so as to be able to have a nice dinner and relax in BKK for a while.

If you stay I would reccomend that you consider booking a club room. The reason for this is that there was an awful check-in line at the hotel the last time I was there. As a club guest, you can check-in in the lounge and will not have to wait.

Have stayed here a couple of times when we get in late and have early morning flights. Otherwise we always go into town for MUCH better deals. Rooms and food have always been good. Don't do your laundy there though as its super expensive.

Agreed. The hotel is fine and if you have an early flight and don't want to trek into town it works. But there are much nicer hotels in Bangkok for less.

Had two good stays here earlier this month. Arrived off the UA flight so just a couple of us waiting for the shuttle and no line up a check-in. Agree hotel is expensive but booked during one of the sales so at $127 felt it was not exorbitant. Took the new Airtrain into the city the next day after a good breakfast. Easy walk from the hotel through the tunnel to the new Airtrain station (opted for the Local rather than the Express) which connected me to the BRT and my city centre hotel for the remaining few days.

As a basic A-Club member no special treatment that I was aware of on that stay, but also went back there on my final night (7a departure!) and at the check-in desk when asked if I was a member and I said yes, I was escorted to the Business Centre where there was a sit down check-in process with a cold drink, etc. Same room type the second stay, again on the 4th floor overlooking the pool. Drinks in the main lounge bar were 60% off so had a couple and some appetizers before catching an early sleep.

A no hassle alternative for early morning departures and very late arrivals if you luck into a sale period.
