Thanks for sharing. I signed up and can confirm that it works. I achieved instant Gold status.
I'm not sure I will receive a physical card though, as it said on registration that they would send the card only after my first stay at an A-club hotel.

If you already have joined the A-Club and got membership number then how to get gold ?
