Booking two (2) rooms

Hi All,
I am Accor Platinum and was thinking of booking two rooms at the same time. Would my Platinum benefits (lounge access) be extended to the occupants of the second room?
I'm guessing not, but I've never attempted it.

AFAIK, it's up to the goodwill of the hotel. If I were you, I would ask the hotel and, if they say no, ask them whether you can pay an additional fee on the 2nd room to "upgrade" it to a room with club access. This, instead of booking directly a different room category for the 2nd room as it would mean 2 different bookings, so you'll loose the benefit of earning points for the 2nd room.

Are you saying that if you are booking two rooms, they must be on the same booking to earn points on both? What difference would if make if those two rooms were on the same or separate bookings, so long as they were each under the members ALL account? The Terms and Conditions seem to say you can earn points on your own room, plus one other room on the same date, provided you are staying in one of them. It doesn't mention anything about the rooms being on the same booking.

Only the following expenses are eligible to earn Points (and only if they have been paid for in full, and if the Member actually stayed at the hotel): Expenses for Member accommodation in a room in the hotel and, if applicable, for one other room at the same hotel on the same date (for a maximum of two invoiced rooms), provided that (i) the Member is staying in one of these rooms and that (ii) the second room is not occupied by another Member. Note: The Member may be able to earn on accommodation expenses for both rooms, but the number of Status Nights is based only on the Member's room.

Agree with goldorak, it based on the hotel. Some extend the benefit for 2nd room but some are not.

T&c said no.

As for 2 separate bookings, iirc some hotel willing to transfer all charges on 2nd bookings to main members room w/o issue so expenses from both rooms counts.

no idea if these practice is common among ALL hotels.

Some years ago, I remember it used to be needed to have both rooms in one booking. Maybe not required anymore, who knows, but this is certainly recommendable to do it knowing how bad many hotels are with ALL rules. In any case, one or 2 bookings, all expenses will be grouped on one room invoice only.

I believe 2 rooms under 1 booking is easier to process and seems I never have issue with crediting this.

i have read some of the other threads here i could find but could not find an answer on this and cannot seem to find a specific set of terms and conditions on this point:

hotel 1: stay sun/mon/tues nights (3 nights) but my flight is tuesday night at 10pm and the rate was very low so i just booked the tuesday night too so i could continue working thru the day

hotel 2: different hotel check in late tuesday night when i land and stay one night, checking out wednesday.

so really i am paying for tues night stays in two different properties, but will i get status points on the second hotel one night stay?

thanks in advance

Did you get the status points at the end?
