Accor Plus Extension

Hi all,

I know that there was an extension for Accor Plus last year of six months, but am just wondering if anyone here has any luck asking for an extension this year (I wasn't eligible for the one last year as my card was from a corporate program - this year I purchased myself). Even though the covid situation seems to have calmed down in EU/ US, in Asia, which is where Accor Plus is based, it's even worse than last year, and most other paid programs have an extension.

Thanks,

Accor Plus does not have any more extensions. Just paid my renewal fees.

The "problem" is that they think it is all over, and in a lot of cases it is, but some, like me, it is to scary to travel,( and cant get to where we want to stay ), so Accor and others will loose my custom. I will get a soft landing to Gold, but will then have to re evaluate where to spend my own money.

Stay safe guys

If they really think it is all over I wish they would recommence their Private Sales then.

I let my A+ membership lapse at the end of June. I literally havent used it in more than 12 months and don't see that changing any time soon. Soft landing to Gold coming at the end of the year.

I could negotiate a free breakfast voucher for 2 (non stay) at renewal 😅

I extended my Accor Plus because I had an unused Stay Plus which was expiring and they offered to extend its validity by 12 months.

So in the next 12 months you will have 2 Stay Pluses? If that's the case then it'd be helpful, and I may consider extending my A+.

Correct. I have a feeling their salespeople have some leeway on what exactly they offer. They initially just offered a 'promo rate' for the renewal and when I said no thanks he offered to extend the validity of the expiring Stay Plus. According to earlier reports here on FT, what benefits you get also seems to vary by country of membership.

Just renewed mine on 31/7
Would have loved to have negotiated a discount or extra benefit on the basis of not being able to utilise the membership benefits but they may have questioned my honesty;
