Changing member number

I've noticed my Accor number seems to have changed by two digits, one in the middle and one at the end. I don't recall it changing before, is this linked to the move to ALL or perhaps a drop in status? I also found my Accor account was limited in some way (I couldn't register for a promo) and had to send in lots of extra ID info so wonder if the change is related to that? Unfortunately their CS take weeks to reply to emails so thought I would ask here!

The 7th digit is associated with your status,
Last digit is a check value which makes sure the membership numbers correctly composed.

This came up in another thread. The change in the middle digit is connected to a change in status. The last digit is likely just a check digit, which would naturally change when any of the earlier digits change.

As for sending in ID to register for a promo, maybe your account got frozen like mine did, which prevented me from redeeming points. Account was frozen when the "system registered a sign-in from an unknown device", according to Accor. Needed to send ID and change my password to unlock the account.
