Rates more expensive when booking several nights
 

One example - when booking 3 nights (27 Feb -1 Mar) in Fairmont Singapore, cheapest sale rate is 517 SGD++.
When booking three nights separately - price is 175+ 163 + 163 = 501 SGD++
Why this small but sneaky raise of prices for client, who wants to stay longer and if anything, should get better price?

Check the type of room you are offered. There may be a room change as the room you selected may not be available over the three nights.

I think, so probably wrong, that if you book more than one night the hotel will only offer what rooms it has available.

I do not know what would happen if you make three individual bookings ( ie would you be upgraded or asked to change rooms ? )

I have just tried to look at the rates that you gave, and I find mine more expensive than yours, but they also show different rooms, so it looks like you have the ability to book cheaper than me ! But the rooms available

each night at the lowest entry point are different.

It seems rates are lower on weekend nights (Friday and Saturday), no matter how many nights you are staying. On the other hand, I have benefited from "weekend offers" that some hotels run, by making separate reservations (one reservation Wed-Frid, another Fri-Mon). If I remember correctly, booking like this was significantly cheaper than making a whole booking that included the weekend.

What also can happen is that the first night is only available with a (more expensive) refundable fare whereas the following nights are also available at a (less expensive) non refundable fare and Accor website can't combine in the same reservation refundable and non refundable fares. In that case it comes cheaper to make separate bookings and ask the reception at check-in to combine them in case they didn't notice you made multiple reservations.
It happened to me when booking hotels in Bangkok : if I book less than 3 days before the stay (more exactly after 1am 2 days before the stay), the first night is only available with a more expensive refundable fare and I save money splitting my reservation in 2 : 1 refundable night and X non refundable nights.

However why are my rates more expensive than the OP ( but only 2 h apart ? ) yield management not that fast ... as I suspect that the OP did not book at that point.

I am Accor Plus, and based in UK ( Uk address ) / AUS ( for the Accor Plus at son's address if that helps - and STILL not new cards or loyalty gifts .... )
