Some other hotels in Bangkok show available for elites as well, even when otherwise closed. I think that just the hotel as forgotten to close this special elite availability in the system.

Hi all , it has been a while since I posted.

Not sure if someone answered this already. But the diamond "gift gold to 1 person per year" benefit. So does this mean if i gift someone gold status now say to my wife. In January 2022 i can change my gift to say my mother? It definitely says 1 per year.

I thought it was 1 one time thing or maybe i am confusing this with China airlines program 1 gift and can never change it after.

I recently gave the Gold membership that was sleeping in my account for a few months. I received a confirmation saying my guest would enjoy his status until Dec 2022. I don’t expect to be able to invite a new person in January.

Hi All,

I am a Diamond member since 2020 and maintained Diamond tier for 2022 with over 77k status points.
I have not received yet any communication from Accor regarding status extension (not even a "thanks for your fidelity".

In addition, I gave Gold status to my wife last year but can not extend it yet for this year.

Have you guys received anything from Accor ? Seems weird that Accor is silent while we are already Jan 17th

No recognition whatsoever, except customer care thanking me for my "fidelity" when I asked about missing points. I haven't even received a loyalty card this year and the link where one could order it earlier in the profile has disappeared.

I am exactly like you : Diamond status acquired in 2019, valid from 01/2020 and maintained since that (renewed for 2022). In Accor app, I can see I am still Diamond as expected. For the gifted gold card, it was automatically maintained from 2020 to 2021 without anything to do but now I see
"Vous avez offert le statut Gold à la personne de votre choix le 02/02/2020. Grâce à vous cette personne pourra profiter de tous les avantages du statut Gold jusqu'au 31/12/2021". I had assumed that it would continue automatically, but maybe not ?
What does you wife see in her account : still Gold ?

My wife managed to reach Plat last year so I can't confirm whether or not her Gold status got extended

after checking, everything is fine for my gifted Gold card. It is written "status valid until 31/12/22"

Question on Diamond vs AccorPlus.

If I am D, is there any advantage in A+, I presume it really is of benefit in APAC where I spend around 50 nights a year.

only advantage i ascertain is dining discount. I certainly do not get added recognition for A+. Free night can be problematic to book for most properties, but always am able to max advantage at sofitel sydney. Red hot rooms can be very beneficial if the property is one of your regulars!

I’ve booked a number of Accor properties in New Zealand for July. Online new bookings allowed me to book ALL flexible rates that included complimentary breakfast while some did not give such an option. I emailed those other properties that weren’t clear and they’ve replied that as a ALL Diamond - not Accor Plus Diamond- I had DAILY (read weekday) complimentary breakfasts too… so I am not sure what else is to be offered out of the AP benefits too. I did not expect daily complimentary breakfast.

I have emailed some of those properties for clarification on ALL Diamonds being given additional benefits outside of the comped breakfast while onsite (ie not including the free room night).

I am aware of the AP program as I did have that just prior to covid19 lockdowns and let it expire as I was not going back to that part of the world previously, but if they will give me benefits similar to AP-D, then why pay more for them same?

Can anyone please elaborate or confirm this happens where ALL diamonds are treated similarly to AP diamonds?
