Sloppy or systematic data security issues?
I have experienced some data security issues lately. At first I attributed it to sloppy employees but now having had 3 issues in a short timeframe, I am wondering is there is more to it.
- I emailed a Novotel in the UAE to add breakfast options to my reservation. In the response, an invoice was attached from a different person, showing name and the confirmation number. - At a Fairmont in the UAE, I wanted to pay with Accor points so I went to the reception to process this. I kept not receiving the confirmation code by email. Then the receptionist told me the email address/phone number he was sending it to. This was a completely different account from a random person! He will have received various requests for point use from the hotel I was staying at. How that can happen when I have booked through the website with my profile/loyaltynumber in the booking from the start? - I send a missing point request to the Accor customer service. I received two emails from CS; one responding my concern (-ish. They are totally incapable of properly addressing my query  ) and one addressed to, again, a random person showing his name and the case reference number. Have any of you experienced issues like these? |
No, never had that with Accor before.
