Preferential Code
 

While doing a desktop search instead of my usual App search I noticed a box for "Preferential code"
Is this code specific to certain higher status members?? I am currently a Silver member.

No, this is for corporate rates.

I agree there are two boxes to be filled in by Corporate Travelers ( the bottom two ), but the one under where your card number goes I was told was where you could put offer promotion codes.

There is currently a French Mercure offer ( SEN or Senior ) that you can book on a flexible rate with the hotel for a "free" over 60 year old breakfast. However I could not get it to work ( probably because we are not based in France ) but an e mail to the hotel sorted it and it was added to our booking(s).

I know that if you complain on line to Accor about an Ibis Budget you get sent a code to use in the booking box for your next Ibis budget stay that gives a discount ( I can not remember how much or what the code was - it is generic - as it was so long ago )

You can have 10% at Ibis Budget with the code PASSEH.
