A short (1 night) but very good business stay at Sofitel Brussels Europe. I have stayed once before but many years ago (10 ?). The hotel has been nicely renovated since that 1st stay. As its name says, it is walking distance from European institutions.

Check In

I had booked a Superior room and was spontaneously upgraded to Deluxe. They said they gave me a inner courtyard view and not a square view because the square facing the hotel is under extensive renovation work so it can get noisy.

Room

The room was modern and nice, very quiet (no noise at all) which is something very important for me. Amenities included Bluetooth speaker, Nespresso machine, and of course bathrobe & slippers. Welcome gift was a small box of (very good) Belgian chocolates.

Dining

There is no lounge in this hotel.

Drink voucher redemption was strictly limited to one person (the story doesn’t tell if they give you 2 vouchers in case of double occupancy). You can redeem any drink, including Champagne.

I didn’t try the restaurant but had a room service. Food was of good quality but a bit overpriced in my opinion.

Overall

Overall a good short stay. This is a solid business hotel. I would return without hesitation if the price is correct.
