Booking room on points in another name?

I have a handful of orphaned Accor points that are going to expire soon and otherwise have no real use for. I was hoping to be able to use them to book a room for a friend who will be staying at an Accor property in a couple months.

In the past I have been able to do this using the printed vouchers, but it seems that option is no longer available. The booking screen seems to be hard coded to only permit the account holder name.

Any other way to book a room in another name using points? Or is the only option to get some value out of the points to transfer them to some airline before they expire?

If it is an option, you can stay at one of their hotels, extending the points validity 12 more months.

Hi B747-437B,

I approached our central teams in order to give you more details on your request. Unfortunately, you can't use your points to book a stay for someone else. But as an alternative, we propose you to check our offer La collection where you can use your points. You can by different stuff for you or for your friends.
There is a link: https://lacollectionbyleclubaccorhotels.com/

Best regards,
Amy

Thanks for taking the time to research and respond Amy. I'll look at the options in the link you provided.
