Vaguely premium ice-cream? It's just chemical rubbish. I just don't see what anyone sees in it, it's just awful, especially as Italy and real ice-cream are just a couple hours away.

Par contre, thé hotels are really nice and comfortable with nice service and staff. I expect once Accor fully control them they will become horrible.

Somehow I believe Accor will integrate these ice creams into ALL in 2020 together with Orient Express and whatever brands Accor have that not yet integrated into LCAH

I just confirmed this with my contact at Movenpick and he said the same thing. Should be by the end of this year supposedly. Hopefully no more delays!

Movenpick / Accor and river cruise ships
I am looking for new travels for next year and I was thinking of visiting Egypt and do a Nile river cruise. I noticed that Movenpick has several cruise ships on Nile, so I was wondering if anyone knows if and when will Movenpick start participating in LeClubAccor for points and whether their cruise ships will also participate in it for eligible nights/ status points?

And would.love to at least spend a night or two in Sofitel Legend in Aswan and compare it to Sofitel Legend in Hanoi

Movenpick is expected to join next year, no details yet on the cruise ships but I'd hope they are part of it.

Sofitel Aswan is excellent. If you can, pick a room in the old wing for the charm. I have pictures posted in the Sofitel Aswan thread.
If anything, this property wins hands down on the sunset tea View compared to the Hanoi property (who doesn't have much of a comparable view)
