Wonder if that'll change anything, as the formal differences between Gold and Plat don't seem that interesting to me (lounges sound great, but then I don't leave Europe often), but maybe I'll get upgrades more frequently?
Same for me, need 700 more points for renewing my gold status. Have 2 stays planned with a total of 3 nights.
All stays in Europe: The Netherlands and France mostly.
In the Netherlands almost always upgrades and other benefits, early-late check-out, drink vouchers.
In France is it more complicated. The drink vouchers no problem, but upgrades are very rare and late checkout often difficult.

But next year again Gold !

All points are posted by the hotels and are at fault if they're not posted.

I have done as you suggested and contacted the hotel directly. However, I have not received an answer so far after a few days, which is very odd.
Usually my emails to a Fairmont property are answered in a matter of hours to even minutes.
I find this lack of response alarming.

Can we try and help you with this - which hotel and what email address do you have.

Well, it's quite embarassing, because it's my main Fairmont Hotel in Marrakech. I did use the email provided one the fairmont website: https://www.fairmont.com/marrakech/

I'm sure I still have some direct email addresses of personel I know there, but many have sadly left in the recent time and furthermore the management has changed as well.

Reach 8000 or so status point on November.
And since there no more trip planned this year, I guess it will be Gold for next year.

Your current status:
Status platinum
You're this close to a status upgrade :100 %
14 501 / 14 501 Status points or 35 / 60 nights
I am surprised apart from the Fairmont group members I seem to be one of the highest spenders (per night) and I have most
of my stays in China.
