do e-rewards transfers extend points?
i believe it has always been the case that the le club terms and conditions were either unclear whether points transferred from partners such as e-rewards or qatar airways extended the life of existing le club points by 12 months or actually said that members had to stay in a qualifying accor hotel to prevent points from expiring.
does anyone know for certain whether e-rewards transfers, under the 2017 rules (and actual practice, if different), will keep alive existing points for another year? ian. :) |
Yes, they do. I have transferred points within the past month and observed that the expiration date becomes one year exactly from the date the points are credited to the account.

My dashboard only shows: 'xxxxx REWARDS POINTS Valid for life*' (* Subject to staying in a participating hotel at least once a year) 'Validity of your status 31/12/2017'. I have been searching for an answer to whether this 'once a year' meant once per calendar year, or if points were valid 12 months from accrual as in the past. All of my friends and family have some status, and their accounts only show the same info as mine. Are you perchance Classic level? If so, and if Accor shows points expiration date instead of status expiration date for Classics, this would be very useful information. |
Wait until they send you a promotional e-mail. It will show how many points you have and the actual expiration date. I don't see the expiration date on the web site.
At the top of any promotional e-mail that I receive, I see - My Name xxxxxx Rewards points (1) Until: 09/08/2018 Card Platinum : xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Until: 31/12/2017 Based on what I have seen, if you earn a point, it extends your validity for one year from the date that the point is credited. |
You are right!
Dozens of Accor emails, and for some reason I always overlooked this information, perhaps because I subconsciously dismiss dates not in US format when reading English... And, coincidentally, I can confirm that my points' expiration date correspond to my latest e-rewards redemption, which came after my last Accor stay. |

Just out of interest, how did you score your invitation to the E-Rewards panel for LeClub?
The link on the PARTNERS page just links to the E-Rewards home page, with no way to sign up because it is "invite only". I was thinking about contacting Le Club CS to see if I can score an invite? |
Dear members,
To clarify the subject, Reward points received through our partners allow the retention. The points are valid for life as long as you book a stay generating points at least once a year. Please let me know if you need any other information. Best, Amy |
Sorry just to re-confirm:
Rewards points received through the partners allow the extension of the points validity, right? Do I need to book a stay generation points once every year at the same time? If yes, is it once every calendar year? Thank you!

I signed up with the email for the opinions, bonus points have posted but it does not seem to have extended the points expiry date |
First time posting on this forum. I wanted to share that I recently redeemed e-rewards points in August and October. I have no stays in the past 2 years, but have a booking for July 2019. My expiry date is Oct 30/19.

UPDATE, after one month, approximately, my opinions points, have extended the expiration from the date of that activity. So my points were due to expire in March 19, but now, because of the surveys, they expire Nov 19
