Introduction I played the contest “HISTOIRES AVEC UN GRAND M" in june and I won a stay at Cures Marines Trouville Hotel Thalasso & Spa-MGallery by Sofitel. We planed to stay there during a trip in Normandy, travelling with my wife.Cures Marines hotel was a former casino ( Designed to be the largest Casino in Europe, the Casino Municipal de Trouville, opened in 1912).The Cures Marines hotel is housed in the right wing of the casino in the heart of Trouville and a stone's throw from Deauville. Its restaurant, Le 1912, boasts a Michelin star.Trouville-sur-Mer is a seaside destination in Normady known and celebrated for its long beach of fine sand, “the Queen of beaches” has a pleasant boardwalk and is the perfect foil for the sumptuous, elegant villas. Trouville-sur Mer is also a fishing port, with its famed fish market. Check In We were greeted on arrival and offered to help with our bagsChech in was swift and efficient.We were given a welcome note summarizing our "privileges" and two drink vouchers Room We had a superior room on the highest floor (4th tloor). We could see the beach and the sea from our room (despite it was not a sea-view room)Local pastries awaited us (Madeleines) and a welcome letter.The room was very well insulated and you could hear nothing from the outside nor from the hotel corridor. Service Turn-down service came with two bottles of water (but no chocolates !) Spa Mrs enjoyed the spa and the"Velour" hydration treatment while I enjoyed the hammam (a sauna was also available). Pool We also enjoyed the pool (indoor pool).The pool is divided into two pools, one of the two being reserved for gym classes Dining Cures Marines Hotel has got two restaurants : "le bar d'Eugene" and the "1912" ( Two "toques" to the guide Gault & Millau).We had a drink at "le bar d'Eugene" (drink voucher for two cocktails)We had breakfast at "1912" restaurantThe breakfast room is on two floors and was quite busy.This property has a semi-commercial Ille machine for coffee which is extremely slow, but you could order your coffee or cappuccino as well as your eggs.You could have french beans for breakfast (thalasso diet ?) Location Cures Marines Hotel is situated just in front of the beach, and next to the casino.As you can see, the weather was sunny and warm in Normandy !You can walk or take a little ferry from here to Deauville and enjoy the famous boardwalk. Overall Overall this was an excellent stay. The staff were a huge part of this. Despite this being a 5*hotel, the service managed to be proactive and friendly without any stuffiness or excess formality at all.
