Mercure Soi 11, Bangkok: room included “free” mini bar items ( juice, soft drink, I think 1 beer, sparkling water). I’m not sure if that’s a welcome amenity or the room type ( I booked cheapest); plus 2 drink vouchers to use at the pool bar. Nice hotel
Novotel Soi 4 , Bangkok: plate with a couple of macaroons, drink voucher, late checkout up to 5.00pm ( didn’t need it, so no idea if that would work given the ‘subject to availability ‘ rider.
Both hotels gave room upgrades above what I’d booked. Good value, IMO.
