Ibis Heat

Have been staying in numerous Ibis hotels during the winter months over the past years. I have noticed that for some reason, the heat delivery system is very limited and in many cases very cool not much heat delivery in the room at all. :td:

My last stay was at the Ibis Reduta in Warsaw and when I complained regarding the lack of warmth in the room, I was told to leave the heat on in the bathroom and keep the door open which would help warm the room. This did not help. Anyone else also find this problem when staying at an Ibis?

I've stayed in Ibis/Ibis Styles in the winter, but from what I remember they were in much less cold places than Warsaw, i.e. if I remember correctly Paris and Nice. I do not remember encountering such a heating issue.

I had the same problem in Dublin, but was given a small electric heater which solved the problem. Also a problem in Germany, and in the Baltic States. Guess I need to stay way South to find a warmer Ibis hotel :D.

I had the misfortune of spending an entire winter month in Ibis Le Havre 20 years ago on a low budget project. The front desk had some circuit breakers for the electric heater in each room, which they would turn off every morning, and not turn back on until requested every evening. They knew perfectly well who we were, when we were back, etc., but never once would proactively turn the heat back on. We couldn't really complain to the client, as their staff was staying in a Formule 1 :p
That experience turned me off the Ibis brand for over 15 years... I must say the few I have visited in the past few years were much more satisfactory, and delivered exactly what was expected from them.

Wrote a not so nice review of the Ibis Reduta in Warsaw, got a reply the next day from them. It was a decent reply, not a defensive one. I give them credit for that.
