For my part, I ignore the 'book from' part. It is meaningless in terms of actual cost and is definately false advertising. My experiece is the actual price available is always at least 10% higher than the 'book from' number.

Didn't there used be an Accor concierge on here? You would have throught that she should be concerned about all the complaints from Members. Although I do remember she went very quiet when the going gets tough, like now.

Love their "30% off Black friday sale"..

Compared prices (for some properties as some fixed dates) I eyed, and guess what, they actually mostly increased by 5-10% compared to pre-"sale"..

Ive just joined Accor and the first time i ran a quote it gave me a 10% membership discount. Now no matter what way i try to quote for the same hotel it is not offering any discount. Help please......



EDIT - Now sorted a i was trying to book multiple rooms and it wouldnt allow us.

nice - can't reserve a prepaid hotel room for next summer because my credit card expires in May

Can you do it with other hotel chain?

Prepaid does not mean your card will be charged immediately (although most of the time, it will). The hotel can charge your card anytime from the time of booking and the time of check in.

Hence it not so unusual if they will check your card is stil valid for the stay.

Give a call to your bank and ask them to issue you with renewal card. In some countries and bank, they can renew they card as early as 6 months before the expiry date.

or call /e-mail the hotel to charge the card immediately.
