Accor buys private concierge service John Paul
AccorHotels announces today it has begun exclusive negotiations for the acquisition of John Paul, the leading player in premium customer and employee loyalty services. The company’s Enterprise Value should be close to 150 million dollars i.e. a 2017e EV/EBITDA multiple of c. 11X. Seems like Accor has an impressively forward-looking and transformational strategy, but as a person who is likely to keep staying at traditional hotels, I'd rather they focused on improving their core business in terms of consistency of experience and coverage.

Well Le Paul is not (yet) paying off, definitely not on the financials. It reports some ongoing losses and on providing more (or any) customer service we are all still waiting.....
