Hello Ozmouse,

I am considering it actually.

At the beginning, it felt like a very good offer. Now I am asking myself if I really want to eat in the same restaurant for my entire stay in Singapore. I am coming from Switzerland and I like to eat at different places when I go to Singapore.

I was considering asking to get a discount or Le Club points instead, but I guess I won't get that.

From the pictures above, the hotel looks quite completed. I am going there for business and the only amenity I really care about is the swimming pool. I never go to the gym.

The Club Millesime would be nice also, but I tell myself that if I go to the So, I won't get any anyway. And Sentosa is not really practical for me as I have meetings in city center every day.

So, all in all, I will accept the deal I think.

Do you think that I should try to be moved to the So ?

Thanks for your input and your welcome!

Cheers,

My take is to stay put. The So is a longer walk to the subway aka mrt here.

there is lots of food around tanjong pagar. Some nice hawker centres around. Please just skip the overrated lao pa sat beside the So.

Maxwell Food Centre
1 Kadayanallur Street, Singapore 069184

Tanjong Pagar Plaza Market

if you can travel abit more by mrt
Old Airport Road Food Centre

if you are craving for jap food. There are lots of ramen stores around (just spot the long queues) and also a hamburg steak restaurant opposite the hotel (personal fav)

I concur with cowism's summary above. Much better location compared to So. In addition I have had mixed experiences at So, to the point I will not return. And if pool is on your list, So pool will just not satisfy.

You should counter offer for points rebate or combo of both points and some food credit. Never hurts to ask.

Hi all,

Bloggers are starting to visit and review the hotel and posting them online. From what I read and understand, the hotel plans to officially open on 2nd October.

Looking forward to dining there as the food looks good! Check out the link below of one of the reviews of the restaurant I found online. Many more to come I guess since I see many bloggers heading there.

I emailed the hotel to let them know that if the Club floor was not open by the 20th of December, I would have to look to make a reservation elsewhere. They were very fast to get back to me.
I just got a message from Sofitel that reads: 'Bonjour SullyofDoha, greetings from Sofitel Singapore City Centre! We are pleased to inform that hotel will open its doors in October 2017 and our executive lounge, Club Millésime will be ready for our club guests by then...'
Due to this positive news, I have booked a night to check it out.
Hope this helps :-)

It would be interesting to know if they will offer upgrades or other perks for Accor Gold /Plat members.
