Can anyone get the private sales rates by using the Accor iphone app? I could get the private sales rates by using a web browser on a PC but not the accor app on my iphone.

It seems Accor makes you work very hard to get the best rates as in the past I always get different rates based on platform and the location you choose on the web.

Thanks,

Alan

Were you logged in to the app? You have to be a member to get the sale rate.

Mercure Porto Centro only shows a flexible rate when I try to make a booking in august, no sale rates or even advance saver. Anyone ever seen this before at another hotel maybe? The hotel is on the list for this sale and all other hotels I have ever booked had various other rates to choose from throughout the year.
The thing is, I rather pay in advance but that is not possible when there is only a flexible rate.

My efforts at finding a good rate seem like a waste of time - most of the dates I choose have no "super sale" deal available - and on the odd occasions I do find one, the rates are only marginally cheaper than the other "advance" deals available (£78 for two nights compared to £81 for 2 nights).
Not overly impressed so far!!

Unimpressed

I wasnt impressed by the last sale to be honest and haven't found any real bargins this time around. Most of the hotels I like to stay in are not even in the sale. Oh well looks like I wont be maintaining my Gold status, can't say im that upset about that.

Definitely not as good as the previous one, and not all the hotels listed in the previous post included.

Having said that, still found a couple of decent offers, considering that in UK at least breakfast was included.

Is anyone else getting a problem when trying to book? After entering initial name and email address, there is an internal server error?

Had trouble logging in tonight. Had to log in via different accor site.
Also, tried finding sales for Lyon and Zurich in Aug/Sept and didn't really find much sales or it showed "these specific rates aren't available" but other rates are. Also some of the normal special rates were better than the private sale rates. Quite disappointed.

It's weird....if I book via HK site I get a private sale rate for Novotel Times Square, but I then get the internal server error, but other sites don't give me the same rate?

Another random dates query on a random hotel - and I've found a new rate that Accor (or Ibis) are offering - a new one on me anyway (and one I don't qualify for):

Anyway - found the Private rate sale rate available - so 5 nights at this particular Ibis hotel (Budapest Centrum):

Exclusive Private Sale in Eastern Europe ! : Price 186.89 GBP

Book Now for 4 nights and save 25% : Price: 190.22 GBP

18-26 Offer !

Incredible prices for incredible cities ! All room occupants must be between 18 to 26 years old and provide an ID card at check-in.

This is the "new rate" that I don't qualify for - this has free cancellation- and the rate is:
233.38 GBP

All of the rates above are excluded from "using Points" - even though the last one is a free cancellation rate.

Once again though - this shows that the "Private Super Sale rate" isn't really that special when the existing book 4 nights and save 25% is much the same price (I do admit there might be a bigger saving for bookings of 3 nights or less)
