Well Kuta is tourist destination. Of course people will try to sell.....

I did go to Nusa Dua (Sofitel specifically) and Benoa, and I liked those areas much better. To each his own I guess.

I didn't have any issues with the Pullman hotel itself and I actually spent most of the time on the premises. The beach and sunset views from the room were quite spectacular actually.

By "small stalls selling garbage" I mean the myriad of small shops around Kuta selling cheap clothes and other junk. Bintang tank top anyone??

Can anyone shed any light on the restrictions around the number of children you can book into hotels in Bali?
It seems that you can only book one child into each room? Is this correct?

Nusa Dua is extremely boring and there is nothing there. It was created from nothing on a Peninsula and is miles away from anything a that would keep a grown man happy for a week. Taxis are fine but the traffic can suck and as you’ll Probably want to go to Seminyak or at least Kuta, you can sit in traffic forever. They’re cheap though.

Nusa Dua is very sanitised and full of people who never venture out of the area. Which is fine if that’s your thing, but you might as well stay home and go to a local beach because you’ll hardly know you’re in Bali IMHO.

But horses for courses and that may be your thing and if so, it is quite scenic and restful.

BTW I’ve stayed at M Gallery and had an amazing time. No snakes for me, but I’m Australian so they probably knew it’d be uneventful for me.

You can book, normally, as many as the room allows in the description. Though some hotels are fine in a 2pax room to add one child.
