Third party sites such as Orbitz, Expedia, Booking etc used to book reservations are a no-no

However starting from Topcashback or similars to reach Accor or Novotel, Sofitel, Ibis, etc to book reservations are ok

Cheers

Thanks, I only ask because they have a promo of 5000 Aeroplan miles per stay.
I normally would not stay with them (in bangkok) but 5000 miles is a good deal and 7 or 8 % back would be even better.

I do all my bookings through Topcashback - cashback posts within about 4 weeks of the stay and represents a good saving.
