With Accor I just wouldn't want to risk it. So if booking again at the same rate is possible, I'd do so.

The rules say bookings made between certain dates. My experience in autumn 2014 was it only worked on bookings made between the specified dates. It is a good offer so not really a cause for complaint!

Just checked out of the Sofitel Macau and got Triple Points + 1000 bonus points for the '1st of the 3 stays' promotion.

I actually booked the 2nd night before this promotion started but added a night (the 1st night) under a new booking after signing up for the promo. This could be one way to still benefit from the promotion depending on your travel plans of course.

Stayed one night in Bangkok Ibis last November and found out Ibis hotels were not participating.
Could you please share how you found that out?

At least 3 previous posts (#34 in Indonesia, #44 in Bangkok, #58 in Netherlands and Germany) report successful credit from Ibis stays in September 2014, for the original promotion which ran from mid-September to end of December 2014.
I don't see why your stay didn't qualify, unless you didn't book it on an Accor website?

Bookings made between the specified dates is well and good. The question is whether the bookings even if made during the period of validity would be counted as valid for the promo if done before registration.

As you mention post #44 indeed a september Ibis stay at Bangkok Nana got
LCAH points.
But as you can see I got LCAH 1000 for a december stay at Pullman Khon Kaen but not for the stay at Ibis Bangkok Nana in November.
After that stay I remember having checked a pdf of participating hotels and I think Thai Ibis hotels were excluded during high season thus November.
If I new that beforehand I would have chosen an other Accor property.

Not a big deal anyway, I plan a trip trough France for April and might just pre-book 5 nights in different towns, traveling along.

Thanks, very useful info. I was thinking of booking a possibly throwaway Ibis stay for less than the €80 it would earn as a 3rd stay, but will reconsider in light of your insights.

Since they don't count consecutive stays, can I book a stay under my name and another stay under my sister's name for every other day and have the hotel just check us in altogether without the need to check in and out? Like 1, 3, 5 under my name, 2, 4, 6 under her name?

...and this should qualify for the 8,000 points since it's 3 non-consecutive stays?

In my case i signed up to French offer on 23rd and immediately booked 1 night in March, then saw new version in English and signed up for that so could i combine 1st night booking stay on French offer with say the next 2 nights booked on English version to total 3 stays or do i need to book all 3 nights on EITHER French or English ?. Indeed would it be best to start again and book 3 more nights with new English version just to be on safe side ?

I would book 3 nights as the French version NOW says: Nous récompensons vos séjours : gagnez jusqu'à 8000 points Le Club Accorhotels en séjournant jusqu'à 3 fois dans nos hôtels dans le monde.

So they also changed it to 3 nights.

French T&C have been changed : you now should book before 15th of march.

"L’offre n’est valable qu’une fois pour 3 séjours par membre pendant sa période de validité, pour des séjours entre le 17/02/2015 et le 31/08/2015 dans les hôtels participant au programme Le Club Accorhotels et réservés entre le 17/02/2015 et le 15/03/2015. Les séjours ne doivent pas être consécutifs."
