Last year I got free platinum status (as many of us have) except I did not stay a single night in a Le Club Accorhotel property. So I just got this email apologizing that I did not requalify for platinum status, and advising that I will now be platinum status. Did I miss something??


Sadly you're moving to Le Club Accorhotels Platinum status.

But not to worry as you are still a Le Club Accorhotels Platinum member!

Dear MR,

Unfortunately, the number of points and nights you've accumulated this year does not entitle you to keep your status and so you have been moved to our Le Club Accorhotels Platinum status.

Yes, I just got the same email.

I was originally (earned) Silver with them but got the free Platinum and combined my accounts. My Plaltinum status was due to expire at the end of Jan hence the email but I think Accor's systems have screwed up and got the word Platinum mixed up in the email. Pretty poor actually!!!!

I checked online and I have indeed been bumped back to Silver.

I got the same email, "Sadly you're moving to Le Club Accorhotels Platinum status".

I logged in and had been downgraded to Gold, so applied for Platinum again through American Express.

At least Accor recognizes it means nothing to be Plat with them ;)

I got two emails saying I was renewing as Plat and online I'm still Plat. But the emails said I would be getting my new card in the mail, which should have been weeks ago. Nothing has arrived.

But as I never have to actually show my card at the hotel, I guess it doesn't matter.

Ha. Just checked and they dropped me from Platinum all the way down to classic!

I stayed around 15 nights in Accor properties, the hotels were ok but the Le Club scheme doesn't seem much good.

Likewise I went all the way down to classic - not that I can complain, it turned out I only made two stays last year and they were both back in January... Unfortunately I've just realised my points have therefore expired too (on the last day of January)... is there anyway of getting them back?

I spoke too soon I guess. A new Platinum card has finally arrived. It looks mostly the same, but of course A-Club is gone and Le Club Accor Hotels has replaced it.
