- What is your Le Club status?
Platinum.

- Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
yes, for sure

- Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
1st night booked So Studio, no upgrade
2nd night booked So Studio got upgraded to So Suite
3rd night booked So Suite, got upgraded to So Lofty

- How are the rooms?
All of them were high quality rooms, modern style, nice furniture, large, great beds

- What was good and what was bad?
Good:
Rooms
Service
The bed!

Bad:
Location, traffic jam all over all the time
Can't directly conncet to the internet, but this is obviously only me, and everywhere else wifi works well with my laptop. I got wifi through my mobile phone and tethering anyway

- Value for $ or Vouchers? Would you return?
due to the expensive rates it's just an average to slightly good value, will probably come back

Sofitel Macau at Ponte 16

- What is your Le Club status?
Platinum...

- Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
Not really...

- Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked City view, I'm assuming I was upgraded (wasn't informed, hence the assumption) to River view

- How are the rooms?

Thought the room was very tastefully decorated - perhaps a bit dark but like the color scheme.

- What was good and what was bad?
Good:

The room...

Bad:

Everything else.. Just lacked an overall 'Sofitel' feel..
Service was less than average
No welcome drinks either
Red wine and chocolate welcome gift - definitely needs an overhaul, not living in the 80's anymore!

- Value for $ or Vouchers? Would you return?

At $US150 per night, VFM? I guess so.
Would I return? Not unless there's a a bit more recognition for Le Club members

Sofitel NYC

- What is your Le Club status?
Platinum

- Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
Yes, great hotel, perfect location

- Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
1 standard room
1 suite

- How are the rooms?
Super comfy beds, Hermes amenities in the Suite

- What was good and what was bad?
Good:
Beds, location, superb breakfast

Bad:
absolutely no recognition of status. no upgrade, no drink vouchers, "late checkout" at 1PM. I felt like a regular guest, that happens to be earning points on a plat card.

- Value for $ or Vouchers? Would you return?
Very reasonable value if prepaid/or incl. breakfast, definitely reasonable if considering location & quality of rooms & service

I thought you booked on standard room and upgraded to Suite or did you book 1 standard room and 1 suite then you got the same ?

Pullman King Power

- What is your Le Club status?
Plat

- Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
Yeap

- Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked Deluxe, was told of an upgrade.
Room seemed the same like the Superior and Deluxe rooms but, it was on the
Executive Floor. Had access to Executive Lounge too.

- How are the rooms?
Clean, Bright nothing much to fault.

- What was good and what was bad?

Good:
Efficient check-in and check-out.
Staff speak excellent English and are well-informed.
Superb housekeeping.
Separate priority desk for status members.
Clean
Breakfast in the lounge was good
Was given King Power Lounge pass (for use at Swampy)
Bad:

Rain shower in bathroom needs some cleaning.
Maybe due to my age, but when I stepped into the Executive Lounge
the staff there reacted as though I am in the wrong place. Felt kinda awkward.

- Value for $ or Vouchers? Would you return?
Yes I would, been staying here for my past 4 visits and will definitely continue.

Mgallery Hotel Rotary, Geneva

- What is your Le Club status?
Platinum

- Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
Underwhelmed

- Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
standard to superior

- How are the rooms?
Room was in the newer part of the hotel but still it was very dated, the furniture is very neglected and old.

- What was good and what was bad?

Good:
- friendly reception staff
- free wifi

Bad:

- limited in room dining
- drinks voucher had to be asked for

- Value for $ or Vouchers? Would you return?
No, overpriced for the state of the hotel. More akin to a Mercure and a bad one at that. Just because they get away with Geneva prices doesn't mean they can upgrade the place. Gonna try the Novotel next (equally expensive)

Mercure Banjarmasin

- What is your Le Club status?
Platinum...

- Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
Yes

- Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?

Booked Deluxe (32 sqm), upgraded to Grand Deluxe (34 sqm)

- How are the rooms?

The room is surprisingly bigger than I thought. I think that the room was Special Grand Deluxe since it must be more than 40 sqm.

- What was good and what was bad?

Good:
Friendly staffs, welcome chocolate at room, beautiful swimming pool, Free Wifi, free broadband and had a chance to meet the GM during breakfast

Bad:
They don't accept Accor Le Club Voucher; both $60 and 40EUR eventhough my reservation was flexible rate. Their barbecue buffet doesn't accept Advantage Plus discounts.

- Value for $ or Vouchers? Would you return?

Since the positive outweighs the negative so ... yes

Are they part of the hotels that do not participate to Le Club (as most hotels in Australia) ? Because, if not, there is no reason for them to not accept the vouchers

They told me that they are participating in Le Club program but they told that they cannot accept Le Club Voucher at the moment. I asked why...they told me that they just can't. I was talking to the Front Office Manager on that time. Probably the hotel would get less than the actual paid if someone using voucher or the system was too complicated to redeem Le Club voucher.

However, my points were added correctly within the same day which is surprising since other Mercure usually post in 2-5 days while also broke records since all of my previous stays with Mercure and Grand Mercure (7 properties in total) were posted inaccurately.^

Actually "most" Accor hotels in Australia participate in Le Club, AFAIK, there are only about 6 (that I can immediately think of) that don't - there's probably a few franchised properties out there that don't also participate, but searching for them requires effort - of which I'm lacking at the moment, but the below 6 properties are the ones that I know of:

Sofitel Brisbane Central
Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach
Novotel Coffs Harbour Pacific Bay Resort
The Menzies - Sydney
Novotel Sydney Brighton Beach
Novotel Wollongong North Beach

All belong to the same "owner"

Totally abnormal IMO. You should write to Le Club customer service to let them know about this.

I've already got response from the GM of hotel. He told me that he was very sorry and the voucher can be used. He told me that he will ask the FOM personally why FOM told that the voucher can't be used. Very good response. ^

Certainly a good response from the GM but, at the end, you haven't been able to use your vouchers due, once again to a poorly trained staff on Le Club rules.
