Then you probably will not get points as the hotel has not been booked through the eligible channels: accorhotels.com, A-Aclub website, Ibis website or the hotel direct.

Just to let you all know that the FAQ has been updated, particularly the welcome addition of the Accor Concierge.
Also if folks have personal queries such as account problems, please PM her.

I am confused by the inconsistency I see for how points are awarded.
All my bookings are made through Egencia the corporate part of Egencia and I accept that I get no points for the room however I would have expected points for the incidental expenses.
I normally do get these but a property I regularly stay at is now saying as its a tour operator rate even the extras I pay for don't earn points!!!
If this is so my loyalty is no longer being rewarded and I will need to find an alternative program to use and another chain to spend money with.
The T&C's are a little ambiguous in my opinion on this matter although the hotel in question has referred this matter to Paris for clarification.

Expiring Platinum, what's next?
Hi folks, I did a search, but came out empty… My questions:
Thanks!
- If my platinum status expires, will I go down to gold or straight to the lowest level?
- If I make a booking during platinum, will it retain that status even after my status has expired?
Thanks!

- You will receive the status level that corresponds to your activity over the last 12 months. You will receive an email informing you of the membership change.
- According to A|Club T&C : "If the Member’s status changes between the time the reservation is made and checkout from the hotel, the rules for granting A|Club points are those that are in effect at the time of check-out."

My A Club points will be a year old and therefore expire I late Nov. 2011. I am planning a stay at an Accord property in the first week of Dec. 2011. If I select a no-cancel, charge my card now rate in the next week for my Dec 2011 stay, will that start a new one year clock on the points I have now? Put another way, is it the pay date or the check-in date?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

I have sent your suggestions as well as FlyerTalk members' list of perks they would like to have as A|Club members to the A|Club department. Hopefully changes will be applied soon.

Your stay will only be taken into account on the check-in date, according to the program's T&C, even if it's a prepaid stay. I recommend you to convert your points into A|Club rewards hotel vouchers https://secure.a-club.com/en/hotel-voucher.action or convert your A|Club points into Airline Miles : https://secure.a-club.com/en/transfe...e-miles.action before the expiration date.
Best regards,

Do I get the points if I pay with the voucher?
So I should book via their website, put in credit card and when I check in (or check out ) turn in the voucher, paid with credit card for remaining balance.
Thank you!

You won't get points if you pay with the voucher. For example, you have paid 60€ (a 40€ voucher + 20€ cash), you will only get points for the 20€ you have paid in cash (or credit card).
Please note that you cannot use vouchers for prepaid stays. I recommend that you book your room on our website (not prepaid rates), then secure your reservation with a credit card and pay your stay using your voucher.
Have a nice day!
