The biggest problem with those two coins is neither was much larger than a quarter, especially Suzie B. I remember when they came out; the cocktail waitresses in Las Vegas loved them because people often didn't realize they were leaving a $2-4 tip when they intended maybe a buck!

I still miss the Ike dollar; still have several, including the 1976 bicentennial version. Many football referees used it as their flipping coin before it was phased out. Yes, it was big and probably cost a lot to produce initially, but was the slot machine staple in Nevada for many years. I think the demise of the Ike started when the law was changed that allowed the casinos to produce their own dollar tokens for the slots, thereby eliminating the need for the Ike dollar coin.

I know that the presidential coins are a direct result of the popularity of the state quarters as a huge amount are taken out of circulation and placed in collections, from juniors little cardboard folder to the serious collector buying uncircs by the roll. How much of this will spill over at four times the price (versus the quarter)?

For practical use, the coin has to be significantly larger than the quarter or it may suffer the same fate as the last two coins.
