While the above BLR-LHR-SFO itinerary includes a "legal" connection at LHR, you would have to be a
very inexperienced BA flyer to willingly book it. The first flight (BA 118 from BLR to LHR) has a pitiful 40% on-time record ---- and even if the first flight were more reliable, 75 minutes connecting time is truly minimal for BA connections at LHR. [It's worth noting that the most current OneWorld Timetable (June 11) offers this BLR-LHR-SFO routing only on Thursdays, when BA 118 is scheduled to arrive LHR at 11:50 am.] Since BA currently will
not protect delayed passengers on other airlines, the above LHR connection is worth booking only if you have insurance coverage that generously covers misconnects, and you are able to painlessly sustain a 20 hour London missed connection stopover.....
