USair experts,

Please advise me on this situation - I need to get back to PHL for the holidays and it seems it is becoming increasingly difficult.

Anyway - I found a flight routing PIT/PHL/SAN - I want PHL/SAN however that flight costs hundreds more

I plan on checking in 24 hours in advance, then, of course, not boarding in PIT
and boarding in PHL

Anyone have any experience with this?
I feel like the only hang up could be some sort of system that boots me of the second flight if I miss the first flight?
Or Getting through TSA with a connection boarding pass (if that is possible)
Does USair 2nd boarding pass specify "connecting"?
