Yeah, it's sort of "neat" when you hit zero RCs, and then continue charging to your room. If you like to qualify things, which I often do --- when you are at zero RCs (and LFB/RFB) charge something to your room (maybe a dessert , cappuccino, or a drink at the bar) but make sure you put the tip on the room charge receipt. Then, go up to your room and check out the on-screen folio --- you should "just" see the tip appear as a charge on your room folio; and the "actual" food/beverage charge will have disappeared.

I did BOS-ACY this past weekend, and it was an absolute pleasure. I agree, BWI-ACY is totally crazy. Heck, I know of some folks who use BWI instead of PHL when going to AC (if they can't fly into ACY). Imagine getting stuck on the runway at BWI for an hour in a holding pattern (for such a short flight); I'd go out of my mind.
