I'm anxious to get the word from DL on this one.

Delta has already stated that there will be 3 award tiers.....not 4.

The current SkyChoice award level (such as the 50K award) is being replaced by 2 new levels........one requiring fewer miles but offering a bit less availability (possibly tied to a specific fare bucket)....and one requiring more miles but offering much more availability (possibly 'any bookable seat').

On a side note.......I just noticed that award itineraries which include Alaska and/or Horizon flights are now bookable via Delta.com.

IMO, that is a VERY good thing.
