Just like DL does to LAX and SFO...(767s) and even there is a DL Boeing 777 twice a week...
For last minute subs, these aircrafts need to be fairly close to the hubs, as they offer backups in case other 767s (-200 or -400) go tech and need substitution.
For regularly scheduled flights, you can forget it. The remaining 762s between IAH and EWR will be gone at end of March. They don't have enough 764s, or other longhaul widebodies, so HNL-NGO is being cut and LAX-HNL is downgrading to 752.
