Has the policy on upgrades for flight 7 NRT-GUM changed? I purchased a Y class fare on this flight and called today about getting an upgrade and was told it would be 10,000 miles. I thought this flight on a 737 would qualify for free upgrades as an elite and also because I purchased the Y fare.

Did I just have an agent who did not know what she was doing or has the policy changed?

I have recently changed my travel from US to CO so I am not as familiar with their system yet. Thanks.
