Tiger airways is 49% owned by SQ but i believe a minority stake is held by temasek holdings. This means that practically, both Tiger and SQ are owned by the same ultimate entity.Jetstar asia, the other SG based LCC is also practically controlled by Temasek holdings.

Comparatively, if the service standard of an associate like Tiger comes short, it is logical to deduce that it may flow onto SQ with already many many shortcomings highlighted on this forum. This includes the famous "enhancement" to the PPS programme.

would you be comfortable paying sgd25,000 for a programme that is now sub-standard? or sgd19,000 for F on any of the present 744 aircraft routes with such service?
