Just on the Credit Card front... if you are staying in Hilton branded hotels "most of the time" then I would suggest the HH Amex. The points to $ spent ratio is quite good. Details here.

HH Gold level is earned once you spend $20k on your HH Amex. You will have HH Silver as long as you have the card..
