Mahalo! for the offer...why we get secondaries so much was the topic of another long-dead thread I started which called out Hawaiian Airlines for assigning the dreaded *S* for any tickets its system viewed as one-way, including open jaw, one-way and circular point-to-point. Hence, we got dinged every single time and even experimented with Go! and Aloha just to avoid the hassle.

After I complained directly to HA customer service management and called them out on their nonsensical "it's secret and for your safety" reply as well as blogged about the experience here on FT, the harassment stopped.

About the only time I get stressed on the Islands is at the airport checkpoint, wondering what insanity will befall us next.
