First Ferry from the Kowloon side tends to be a rougher ride. I've seen them lose power three or four times too.

The jetfoils on Turbojet (the smaller boats) have the smoothest ride because they actually lift up out of the water, but if you get the catamaran (tricat or flying cat), the ride is similar to First Ferry.
