I was going to take the regular ferry but I was landing late and they don't run late.
I did the super class and sat next to a guy that got seasick 2 minutes into the ride (pretty sure he was drunk). I think unwashed masses would have been better. But I moved to a really quiet part of the ferry and was able to relax.
Something no one mentioned was the train. So here is what I did, train from HKG to Hong Kong central. I understand the Macau Ferry terminal is close but there are NO signs so I took a cab (the cabbie wasn't too happy because of the short trip but I tripled the fare to make up for it ). I then bought super class on the ferry and checked in. Ferry to Macau isn't long and the meal in super class sucked (btw, I am allergic to seafood so the shrimp salad may have been tasty, I will never know). Once at the ferry terminal cabs are non-existant that time of night.
I walked just down the road and hailed on, cost me $15 to the hotel (Landmark). I have a super nice room and am working for CPTTM only 2 blocks away.
