-- regardless of whether FT or Google News is open in one of them or not. I used to think it was a caching issue, but clearing it repeatedly doesn't result in significant improvement. Closing unnecessary tabs ("NO-ooo") or quitting the browser entirely does seem to put the lead back into its pencil.

BTW, I have the exact same problem on another box, running FF+....... on Win2k SP4.
