I note the 52J config has the stairway coming up under seat 18B - Perhaps Qantas only found they could get another 2 seats upstairs by doing this after an aircraft or 3 had been configured for 50J. Or perhaps some aircraft have different floor strengths in that area (Perhaps the 'Ugly Sisters').

This is pure speculation of course ...
