Up until my last visit, everyone was always very nice. Last time in LHR RCC, a security guard stopped me even though I showed him my RCC card and wanted to see my boarding pass as well. That seemed to placate him. It was kinda weird to get that kind of treatment.

FWIW, I was booked in Y but had the upgrade cleared at the gate.
