The Dash 8 is a safe and even comfortable aircraft as compared to other regional planes/jets. I'd fly on a Dash 8 anyday over a CRJ (unless of course the CRJ has F class on it). I've had more maint issues on CRJs then I have ever had on my Dash 8 flights.
