Post Bomb Threat Shuts Down Oakland International Airport

OAKLAND, Calif. -- A bomb threat shut down the busy Southwest Terminal at Oakland International Airport Monday for more than an hour, forcing the evacuation of hundreds of passengers and causing flight delays.

Alameda County Sheriff's Department Sgt. J.D. Nelson said the airport received three calls containing threats around 1 p.m.

Port of Oakland spokeswoman Marilyn Sandifur said the calls were a specific threat against Southwest Airlines Flight 337 -- a flight from Oakland to Los Angeles International Airport.
