We stayed at this hotel for one night last weekend on a $99 rate with double points (and double stay credit with the current promo). Dinner at the Harry Caray's had service issues, but it was resolved to our satisfaction with one complaint. I would warn that the prices there seem about the same as prices at the downtown location -- high.
The hotel is nice -- basically your average Westin, and it's easy to forget you're planted in the middle of the burbs. A movie theatre, Target, and lots of restaurants (not to mention a mall) are within reasonable walking distance, and a second mall is within a short driving distance. The plat checking in ahead of us was informed about the lounge and the check in person commented that there is "a lot of extra paperwork with platinums." We, lowly golds, were thanked for being gold but got no upgrade, no free water, etc. We appreciated being asked at check in if we wanted to take advantage of 4:00 check out. We found that the employees in general were very friendly. There is a huge parking lot with free parking.
We didn't check out the pool, but room service was a total disaster for breakfast.
I'd return.
