Computer thinks A319 is an A320

When I have some time I will attempt to file my first trip report, however I had an interesting flight last night.

Flight 204, the 11:59 p.m. departure LAX-IAD was originally scheduled as an A319. Somewhere along the line UA's computer switched the equipment to an A320 and seats were assigned accordingly. However, upon boarding MANY passengers were surprised to find themselves aboard an A319!

So four first class passengers found that they were seated in coach seats, many EconPlus passengers found that they were in regular Economy, people with exit rows (myself included) found that they too were assigned to regular rows, and many people were simply seated in rows and seats that did not exist!

It really was, from a customer service perspective, a nightmare. (But I have to say that I think the agents and F/As did a great job to be accomodating.) At least the flight was already delayed by over an hour due to crew scheduling, so the mass confusion didn't cause any additional delays.

-- Also, on another note, Salma Hayek and Edward Norton were in First on my SFO-LAX Shuttle flight! Celebrities on Shuttle... who would have thought.
