Then:

Welcome to Aviators

Aviators, an entirely new frequent flyer program, replaced TWA's Frequent Flight Bonus (FFB) Program on May 1, 1998.

- The Aviators program officially began on May 1, 1998. All miles earned on or after this date accrue as Aviators miles. FFB Miles can no longer be accrued.

- FFB Miles (including equity and non-equity miles) will continue to have no expiration date. Aviators miles earned on or after May 1, 1998 will not expire if, during the previous three calendar year period, the member either 1) purchases a ticket and flies on TWA/Trans World Express or 2) accumulates a minimum of 10,000 bonus miles through partner activity.

- FFB Program awards are no longer available for redemption (as of April 30, 1999).

- Aviators miles may be combined with FFB miles for award redemption

Now:

- All unused miles (remaining FFB program miles, both equity and non-equity AND Aviators) will be credited to your AAdvantage account as a one-time bonus transfer when the Aviators program comes to an end on November 30.

BOTTOM LINE: Aviators/FFB equity/FFB non-equity doesn't matter. Before the conversion to advantage, rewards are available from the Aviators award charts (not the FFB charts). Otherwise, when Aviators terminates, your miles (Aviators/FFB equity/FFB non-equity) will ALL convert to AAdvantage miles.

As for couting towards million mile status with AAdvantage... YES!
