Hooters Casino Hotel Question
I stayed at the Hooters Casino Hotel about a year ago and I had only two complaints:
1. The walls in the hallways hadn't been painted or decorated and they looked tacky.
2. It was a little noisy - significant hallway noise could be heard from the room.
I just wondered if anyone has stayed there recently and could tell me if the hallways have been renovated and if they found it noisy (or if I just got unlucky by having the wrong neighbors).
I am tempted by the Hooters $37 room promotion this summer. I liked how the room was decorated and I found the front desk staff, the waitresses at the restaurant and the casino staff to be friendly. I liked that it was walking distance to some larger casinos and local inexpensive restaurants - and was a very short cab ride to the airport.
I have recently been staying at the Alladin on their $49 casino specials that are leaked on Flyertalk, but those have seemed to have gone away under Planet Hollywood. I'm Starwood Gold so I also received room upgrades.
I might splurge and stay at the Barbary Coast (Bill's now) for $70, but my stays there have been just okay and I'm not convinced it is worth $33 more than Hooters.
I'm not a big Imperial Palace fan. Is there anyone else on the board that likes to spend about $50 per night on (or very near the Strip) that knows of any specials in late July and late September?
I really love December when a great hotel can be snagged for $50 or so.
Thanks.
