Regardless of whether you think airlines
should offer compensation for bad customer service, it is no secret that airlines regularly do this. What's wrong with asking what UA might offer if the OP sends a letter? The purpose of this forum is to share information, not lambast posters as examples of why tort reform is needed in the U.S. There are already plenty of places in OMNI for that.
